Spanish Wines Are Here!

As many of you know Jay and Jacki Witlen, the founders of Jay’s Bistro, have spent the last several years living in Spain. That got us thinking about Spain which quickly led us to think about Spanish wines. As a result, we are very excited to share our curated Spanish wine list. We think these wines are a great representation of the wonderful diversity of Spanish wines.

Spain is host to over 700 DO’s (denominación de origin), which are government-controlled wine growing regions. Spain is one of the world’s best regions for production of wine grapes and many skilled wine makers are creating fabulous wines at reasonable prices. We’ve had the pleasure of tasting through a handful of these regions and are excited to share with you some of these selections. We are always thinking about how we can add value to your dining experience. In our opinion, Spanish wines provide some of the best value in wine.

Come and join us as we celebrate summer coming to an end with this wide variety of excellent wines! You can see all of the wines on our wine menu.

Employee Spotlight – Emerson Slaney

You may have gotten to know Emerson as a server at Jay’s; she is now taking on the new responsibility of bartending. Don’t worry, she is still serving as well! We asked Emerson to share a little about herself –

– What is your favorite dish and/or drink at Jay’s?
Although I do throughly enjoy a fresh side of our french fries with ranch, I would have to say my favorite dish at Jay’s is our filet mignon. Paired with a glass of Jordan cabernet.

– Where is the most exciting place you have ever been?
The most exciting place I have ever been is probably the coast of California. I just love the small coastal beaches and towns and of course all of the wineries.

– Do you have a special talent, guilty pleasure or interesting hobby you’d like to share?
A special talent of mine is making stained glass! It is a very therapeutic creative outlet. I also love seeing live music.
